Landlord Issues

Postby colum » Sun Jan 05, 2014 2:27 pm

Iam in NC and I've an issue. We moved out-of our double-wide on April 9, 2007. Our ex-landlord claims she is owed by us for troubles. She'll not send us an itemized statement stating just how considerably the problems are? Can there be a period frame that she's to have that to us for her to recuperate these damages?I talked with somebody and they stated that she's thirty days to get that info to us or she forfeits her to damages? Is this precise?

I am sorry concerning the additional article. A new comer to this.Anyway, this landlord left me a note on my mobile phone informing me she would notice me in court. Today she claims there's over $5,000 in harm to the area. She required the fans from the home simply because they had dirt on them.We have evidence where we'd the home professionally cleaned when we left. What are our choices?

Landlord is meant to mail-out itemized listing of damages no later than 30 days once you leave."I talked with somebody and they mentioned that she's 30 days to obtain that info to us or she forfeits her to damages?"I do not see something within the NC statutes on that.Youare liberated to sue her in small-claims for the deposit.See Page 42, Article 6 in attached.http://www.ncleg.net/gascripts/Laws/StatutesTOC.pl?0042
