5th Amendment in the Bill of rights. Is the Amendment still relevant to today?

Why is this right important and why do we still need it? Please leave websites and articles thank you!
I was comparing this to what the US did when they build Guantonimo Bay. Because everyone of these rights were taken away. If anyone has any opinions on this and can leave me a source(website/article) where the information is from I would appreciate it.

5th Amendment-Right to a speedy trial, witnesses, etc.

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

Bush was careful to class these detainees as military combatants, so civil law does not apply. even the supreme court recognizes that civil law does not apply to military jurisdiction. the constitution in general does not apply to non-citizens, except that international treaties properly ratified by the Senate do become force of law. I don't believe that Al Qaida has signed any of those treaties. Those that will see trial will be military tribunal which is covered by the UCMJ which is similar but in some details is not the same as civil proceedings. just ask any private caught AWOL.
