A Bill In Massachusetts Enables The Governor To Employ Kennedy's Heir. Is This Fair Or Unjust?

When Kerry was running for president, Senator Kennedy positively and attacked obtaining the law changed in Boston for that reason the governor couldn't discover a successor and an distinctive election would want to be kept. Kennedy was effective and what the law states changed. The governor in these days was republican Romney. Just just before his death, Kennedy once more attacked getting the law changed but this time about he necessary it put-back so an special election is not utilized and the governor does decide on who's the heir. The difference now's the governor of Massachusetts, Devel Patrick, is just a democrat.http://www.comcast.net/posts/info-typical/20090917/US.Kennedy.Successor/

Fairness is not the question in politics. Legality is. And the legislature is working to make it legal.   Sure, this is playing around and pulling shenanigans with the law.  But if the legilature passes it, it's the law, and therefore can occur.   No worse that the statehouses in the South passing laws redrawing congressional districts to disenfranchise blacks.  Same type of game playing and pulling the wool over the citizens' eyes.  Except in the case of legislatures being discriminatory, people were actually suffering.   At least in Massachusetts, this is for a good cause -- proper representation in Congress.   Look, the Republicans would whine either way.  Pay no attention to them. The only solution to irony is hypocrisy. So the Massachusets legislators have been caught by their own efforts to control things. "But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out" (Numbers 32:23). Thank you Lord; their sin being now exposed, we see what they do to "solve" it. As for "fair," that isn't a relevant question. If the Massachusets voters think this hypocrisy is wrong, they certainly can de-elect them people doing this in the next opportunity. My guess is that they are doing what their voters want them to do, which is the point of a representative government. danielpauldavis 51 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment.
