A business I was not satisfied with retaliates.?

Postby bachir93 » Wed Aug 01, 2012 7:01 pm

I spent quite a lot of money with a drapery business a couple of years ago, and they never tried to correct the problem. I have contacted a couple of internet sites and wrote some comments regarding my dissatisfaction, and now they have called a lawyer to harrass me saying I have slandered their business. I have read hundreds of comments on people not satisfied with a business on yelp, facebook, and many others, and want to know what I did that was illegal if it was regarding poor service , and I submitted my honest opinion.

No. You are free to voice your opinion and it's not slander if you are not lying.

That's not a real lawyer, and even if it was you can tell them to pound sand.

That's BS....any attorney with even "C" grades in law school would be using the word "libel" not slander....slander is spoken, libel is written.

It's probably just one of the business owners trying to scare you into silence.

I'd ask for the attorney's name, address, phone number and Bar Association ID number if you hear from them again....that should scare them off.

stop taking legal advice from someone who says he is going to sue you. I have no idea if what you wrote was libelous because you did not say what you wrote.
