Assisting Our Grandaughter Emancipate

Postby Lane » Sat Feb 08, 2014 12:21 pm

Our child died this past year and my grandaughter is 9 and coping with her dad. I reach see her today and then but her dad and the partner will not enable her to possess images of her mom in the home or discuss her.
What age could she become Emancipated??? All she really wants to do is come live with me. I'd like to have her.
Or what privileges being a Grandparent within the state-of California do I've?

Helping My Grandaughter Emancipate

Emancipation isn't possible in Florida before the child is 16, and even then must be initiated by the child's parent or guardian. You can review Florida's grandparent visitation laws here.
