Yes you can be held liable for the debt - My SSN was employed fraudulenty by a person else beneath their personal name, and they creditor Am /collector J&A are proceeding to sue me even although the name, DOB, address never match. In the initial set of interrogatories they ask me to admit thats my name, dob, etc, but its not, then the second set seems to be their "backup" in court, as the issues are all abruptly saying in spite of the mismatch it nonetheless implies I authorized an person to use my SS# given that it's not attainable for somebody to get it with out having understanding me (LOL) -- anyway, the point is yes liability can be inferred if your name is so considerably as pointed out anyplace on the account (ie as an auth user) for collectors to have an "excuse" to go right after you (ie, your husband is not capable of paying, findable, and so forth) so..... much much better secure than sorry.
