Chapter 7 bankruptcy, your car is over 5,000 will the courts allow you keep it by paying payments to trustee?

I am looking into bankruptcy, the only on the bubble question is that my vehicle my be worth 10000.00 and I used that for work. With bankruptcy laws the value is only 5,000.00. Will the court let you make payments to the trustees if they want to liquidate it.

If you file Ch 13 rather than Ch 7, yes.

Nope. I believe you are limited to a car valued no more than $2,000.
