Do you always abide traffic law and regulations?

Postby arrigo » Wed Apr 06, 2011 5:20 am

After having got a couple of speeding tickets many years ago, usually because I was late for a meeting, I have come to the realization that it's not worth it. If you drive fast and overtake cars, at the next traffic signals, you will find that you are only a little way in front of them anyway. By speeding, we only many to gain seconds, but also risk getting a ticket. Now I drive at the correct speed and I am very disciplined about it. I have cars overtaking me at great speed, only to catch them up a little way down the road when they have to go slower or stop at traffic signals. It is about 40 years since my last speeding ticket and I am pleased to say that I have not had one since. This is a far cheaper way of driving! Also I leave in plenty of time to get to my meetings without being late. If I am a little later than I intended, which is rare, I will call ahead and say that I am running late, and drive as normal. There are something that we cannot do anything about, other than accept them. _Derek

Do you always abide traffic law and regulations?

Postby larry » Wed Apr 06, 2011 5:24 am

Sometimes I run in non pedestrian lane when I’m in a hurry.. Sometimes I parked in non-parking zone , I even sometimes over speed my wheels, and caught many times violates the specified speed limit in a highway.. Sometimes I crossed the pedestrian lane without waiting go signals. And worse of it sometimes I have reckless driving mood. .but of course that’s not always ,,lol. Now I have my lesson, I will be so much careful about this as I have calculated the whole penalty it cost me a dime.lol. I realized how useful to abide in traffic law and regulations and not to pay for it. And also for my own safety I should be very careful next time. How about you guys do you always abide over traffic regulations…?..I would love to hear from you my fellow mylotters….Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Do you always abide traffic law and regulations?

No I don't always abide traffic rules and regulations especially on crossing the street. There are times that there are no vehicles in the street so I don't wait for the pedestrian signal to go green. Yep I know its wrong but I think its a waste of time to wait when I know its already safe to cross the street.

I think it is important to adhere to traffic laws and regulations. It is only human nature when we slip. Most of us are honest in the attempts to follow the rules.

I try to , and I find as I get older, I do better. I have slowed down and decided that getting there a minute late is better than getting there dead...

Hi there Cloud. It seems that you are wasting your money a lot by not following the traffic rules and regulations. So, you need to have that self discipline in you so that you can save those money up instead of paying those bills around. Well, in my case, I've been a good citizen. I always follow rules and regulations. I am mostly on pedestrian lanes since I don't have my own car. But it doesn't mean that I wasn't caught and something like that. I think I was 3 times already...back in college. The first one was about crossing on a red light...and I think the second and the third one was when we move out in the jeepney to non jeepney stop lane... It's actually very embarrassing to be caught...so right now, I am happy that I have self discipline already and I don't want to pay any of that again...

Do you always abide traffic law and regulations?

Postby said99 » Wed Apr 06, 2011 5:45 am

yes, my dear friend. for the more than 30 years i have been driving, i was apprehended by traffic policemen only twice, got a ticket twice and never figured in a collision, but was bumped once. i know for a fact, and i also preach, that wanton disregard for traffic laws can be fatal. it can result to collisions and other forms of accidents that can maim and even claim lives. to prove this, i've written a book on traffic rules and regulations for filipinos some years back. it was translated into three major dialects of the philippines and also tackled international driving practices. i also have an international driver's license... ironically, however, in one of my drives back home to kang-nam-du from a drinking in itaewon, i missed a red light and got a ticket two days later. the other ticket was issued when i parked at a no-parking area in yokohama, many years back.

No. I sometimes go too fast. I have gotten a ticket about a year ago. My grandson was in the car and he gave me a sound talking to. It was a good lesson for me. Hope you have a great week-end as well. Our weather is being nice right now so I might pack a lunch and go to the park. After doing some sorting that is.

Well, me too, and I want to follow the law, and try not to violate any of them. But it is hard for everyone to be perfect. Not even the cops can be 100% follow the law. The might take a convenient way to break the law themselves too. So, try to be careful and do the best you can.
