Entering U.s. After Departing For 13 Years

Postby Conor » Sat Feb 08, 2014 2:31 pm

Hi,
Please assist if you're able to. I'm a US resident myself, but my issue is when it comes to my cousin. She quit the nation after being imprisoned and discrete on bail. She's since never delivered for the nation, but since our family unit members live in america she's an excellent need to return.
Our parents did document all of the required documentations for her to return to US, and after 9 years she ultimately had her meeting in the embassy (after obtaining fingerprinter previously that same month), she was asked if she'd actually been arrested.she stated no, so they really asked her to have fingerprinted again she left work and never delivered for being frightened. It was 4 years before, today I'm attempting to employ an attorney for her...what're her likelihood of actually returning to the claims at-least even while a customer? Our parents are aged and are not in a position to visit her frequently.
Iam sorry if my article is lengthy, but my heart breaks for her and i'd like her here around.
Cheers!
Conor

Entering U.s. After Leaving For 13 Years

You mean since she left?
She will need certainly to endure trial - on both unique aggravated felony cost and running legislation (that will be ADDITIONALLY an aggravated felony). Even when sheis acquitted of the initial cost, she'll be charged of running legislation, and she'll be deported and completely banned.

Bluntly put, no.
Conviction of an aggravated felony means you can't ever come back.

Hello,
I apologize, but I do not wish to provide way too many factual statements about her crime.all I could say is that she was imprisoned on bail, and was advised to not travel.
I've been furious with her for the very fact, that she could not also acknowledge to the official that it absolutely was her, he at-least might have told her if she'd an opportunity or not?
Thanks for you personally response!

Bank robbery or embezzlement? Either way it's serious, and embezzlement is a crime of moral turpitude, but if it's robbery it's going to be an aggravated felony.

It's important to know, for example, if it was a crime of moral turpitude or an aggravated felony. But her choice to be a fugitive is problematic in and of itself.

You have told us nothing about her crime. Also her lying to immigration authorities four years ago couldn't have helped her. She should consult an immigration lawyer with the details.
