MY CUST. EXP. W/ WALMART STORE #3307. MY NAME IS KATHRYN CORK, I WORKED @ #3307 IN CUST. SERV., SO KNOW POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. I TRIED RETURNING AN ITEM THAT FELL UNDER POLICY GUIDELINES BUT WAS TOLD A DIFFERENT POLICY THAN WHAT WAS POSTED. LET ME EXPLAIN, I PURCHASED A KODAK PRINTER, LOVED IT, I WORK FROM HOME PRINT A LOT. AFTER 2MTHS THE PRINT HEAD WAS NOT RECOGNIZED, DIDN'T WANT TO RETURN IT, CONTACTED KODAK, THEY SENT REPLACEMENT HEAD, WOULDN'T RECOGNIZE, THEY SENT ANOTHER, I DECIDED TO RETURN IT, PULLED TAX FILES, RETRIEVED RECEIPT, NOTICED I WAS 1 DAY OVER 90, WENT TO 3307 & EXPLAINED THE SITUATION, TROY HAD TO CALL A CSS, CSS SAID IT HAD TO GO THROUGH MGMT., PHONED TRACEY, OK I CAN EXCHANGE IT, GREAT. GO TO ELECTRONICS, NO KODAK ONLY EPSON, STILL HAVE TO HAVE PRINTER, PICK ONE FOR 79.99 & PAY DIFFERENCE. GET HOME, SON'S DAD BOUGHT KODAK PRINTER FOR ME IN TALL. I LIVE 30MIN AWAY FROM 3307, SINCE I WORK IN A PRODUCTION PAY BASED FIELD I HAVE TO SCHEDULE WHEN IM GONNA USE MY PRODUCTION TIME TO SHOP, WISELY. DUE TO MY WORKLOAD I DECIDED TO SEND MY ASST. I GAVE HER THE RECEIPT & THE PRINTER, NEVER OPENED NOR USED, SHE GETS TO THE SERVICE DESK & IS TOLD THEY'RE NOT GOING TO RETURN IT BECAUSE THEY KNOW SHE IS RETURNING IT FOR ME. THEN SHE ASKS FOR A CSS TO WHERE THE CSS TELLS HER, "WELL WE ALREADY EXCHANGED IT AND IM NOT GOING TO RETURN IT NOW IT'S BEEN OVER 15 DAYS." (EXCHANGE SLIP DATED 03/26 INCIDENT 04/09) MY EMPLOYEE POINTED OUT THE POLICY HANGING BEHIND THEIR HEADS WHICH OUTLINED WHAT WAS INCLUDED IN THE 15 DAY RETURN POLICY, PRINTERS ARE NOT ON THE LIST. SHE WAS ADVISED THEY ARE NOW INCLUDED. SHE ASKED FOR THE ZM, TOLD SHE WAS ON LUNCH, & MGMT BUSY. WHICH I UNDERSTAND WALMART BRINGS IN A LOT OF MONEY BUT TO HAVE 3 MANAGERS ON DUTY & A ZM YET NO ONE AVAILABLE TO HELP A CUST. SEEMS LIKE A WASTE OF STORE PROFIT TO ME. PERSONALLY, I FIND THIS HIGHLY OFFENSIVE, THERE IS NO POSTED CHANGE OF POLICY, HOWEVER FOR EVERY OTHER PERSON THEY GET 90 DAYS BUT BECAUSE IT'S ME I AM FORCED TO MANAGE MY RETURNS WITHIN 15DAYS. (ASSOCIATE. TROY & CSS DOLCHA BOTH MY VISIT & MY ASST.) I'M HAVING ISSUES UNDERSTANDING THIS, STORE'S POLICIES CAN BE DIFFERENT THAN CORPORATE, YES, BUT YOU HAVE TO POST THESE POLICIES, IT'S AGAINST STATUTE TO MAKE THEM UP AS YOU GO, ESPECIALLY WHEN DONE TO PREVENT 1 PERSON FROM BEING PERMITTED THE SAME OPTIONS AS EVERYONE ELSE. SO DO I HAVE A CASE?
