Does the State of Florida have laws, statutes or restrictions on Scattering Cremated Remains in or around waterways, are permits required to do this; are cremation certificates required to get a permit if required.

Florida Law, Scattering Cremated Remains

I apologize for my tardiness, but AllExperts had me accidently locked out for this past week.

No permit is required. If some funeral director tells you that the EPA requires three miles out to sea, that's because the EPA only governs waters three miles out. The state governs inside the three-mile limit and has no such laws.

You should be aware that cremated remains are a bit like white aquarium gravel and may be conspicuous if scattered on land. They should sink quickly in water.
