Florida's penalty for purchasing pills?

Postby adalwine » Mon Jun 04, 2012 1:48 pm

I've been doing a lot of research online for this. I even found Florida's Laws, but I can't get a direct answer, so I'm trying on here.
My boyfriend had a friend call him asking him if he could get "blues" because he had a broken hand is was in a lot of pain, blah, blah, blah. Well, my boyfriend texted an old friend and asked if he could get them on May 31. Well, he never got a text back. Well the same kid called again today asking so he texted the guy again and said are you busy? He got a text back saying that the phone was confiscated and that he was going to be prosecuted for purchasing pills.
So, my question is.. What's going to happen to him? Like what is the penalty in Florida for purchasing pills. There was never a set amount of how much he was going to buy. His exact words were "can you get blues?" But now they are saying hes being prosecuted.. So whats going to happen to him? I've never been through this stuff so I wouldn't know.
How many months/years can he get for this?
Is there anything he can do to show that the pills weren't for him and for someone else? Or does that not even matter?
