How do I repurpose items from my injury to make a gift for someone...?

Postby sebastiano53 » Fri Jul 20, 2012 6:48 pm

who helped me? I have 2 slings, an arm cast, the skateboard I fell off of as well as other random household items including copper piping. I am willing to get some tools and additional items.

I want to make something personal for her - I was hoping to incorperate the phrase "nothing is impossible with God." The problem is I am not very crafty. Please help :)

Why not try making a shadow box? You could line the back with one of the slings, nestle something in part of the cast, use the pipe as a divider/flag pole/sculpture.
You could also make a 3-dimensional picture: the pipe could be a flower stem, the sling a flag or dress, the skateboard could be a body with copper arms, the cast for a face, etc.
Just let your imagination run wild.
