How much do these attorney's make a year?

For example, criminal defense attorney's, business, tax, personal injury, and family. If you're a lawyer can you cover all these types of law as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It all depends on how good the lawyer is. A lawyer who wins more cases will obviously be paid more.

Most lawyers stick to one type-- they're specialty lawyers-- however the lawyers you see on TV will take just about any type of case.

Well, being as I can throw a rock into any given parkinglot while being blindfolded and be 95% sure that I will hit a lawyer. Basically you have to rememb er there was a massive growth in the past years of law students. Truly are a dime a dozen which causes some variations in pay. It is a competative field at the beggining of a career, but after you make a name for yourself Im sure the money pours in. As for your other question, yes you could have a business attorney represent you in lets say a divorce, but why would you want to? Would you go to a OBGYN doctor for a pain in your ear? You could, he did go to med school, but you just wouldn.t

I work for a defense personal injury lawyer and our firm is doing very well despite the economy, we are even getting bonuses. Our main client is Chrysler. Its better working for a firm rather than yourself because the firm will pay for all your expenses.

i work for a sole/general practitioner (just himself does everything) lawyer, quite a good one. i can tell you, he's not doing that great. we bill out everyday, but no body has any money to pay. sometimes we joke that he's mostly a pro bono lawyer.

we generate most of the income from bankruptcy work...pretty sad but true.
