Even before the Internet, law school libraries have been open to the public and Supreme Court cases have always been publicly available.  Now, as you've mentioned, the cases are available online.  There are several places to get cases, but the one that most lawyers use is at Cornell.  Here is a link to it.  If you cannot find a case you seek, definitely head to a law library.
