I was medicaly retired in Oct 2009 with full retirement benefits.?

I was placed on TDRL with 70% and after the finalization I was placed on full medical retirement with 40%. My retirement orders clearly state that iit was due to actions in a combat zone and my family and I have ID cards and tricare, etc. I received 100% compensation from the VA and after about a year of receiving my VA disability my medical retirement just disapeered. While in my TAP classes I was told that I was elegibal to collect both, but obviously someone somewhere saw other wise. Can anyone clarify this for me.

Medical Retirement is a form of disability. If you receive 100% disability from the VA, you are receiving full benefits. You can check with the VA, or tricare, or both, but it sounds like you were being compensated for the same thing by two different agencies.

Contact the VA or whoever handles this for you. And or Contact a lawyer. We can only guess why on here - could be any reason from computer error to a change in your medical status or maybe there is some rule about collecting both but contact an official person!

Lol thats what you get for banking on the govt. Wait til the economy goes down the drain and they cut your pension drasticly. Thats what you get for leaching off your neighbor. Govt doesnt have to honor anything. I suggest you get a real job that actually produces something.
