If your taking prescription medication can they use the results to give you a negative drug test?

I'm disabled & I take xanax for my anxiety & insomnia,percocet/oxycodone occasionally for severe pain & i use medicinal marijuana to keep me from taking an aray of different pills that end the end have costly/life threating side effects. Currently I'm being asked to submit to a drug test what can I do? Is this in some way a violation of an ADA act as well as violating the HIPPA law or act? Please Help..contact me for further info?

Being asked to submit a drug test is not any kind of violation of any act. If you are a licensed car holder to use marijuana medicinally and have prescriptions for the other meds you are taking, legally, they cannot refuse to hire you. Nor can they use it against you!

U will test "dirty" however if u have the prescription in your name its overlooked. Depends on y they are asking. Did u injure someone on the job?

medical marijuana has no actual standing outside of state law. While you might be able to get such things with a note, this isn't remotely the same as being administered pain medications under a doctor's regular supervision. A doctor's note claiming that you suffer from something that might be helped with marijuana isn't the same thing as an actual prescription.

You won't ever have such a right till the day that "medical" marijuana is administered like every other real drug, rather than like a wino drinks whiskey to get to sleep.

Depends on why you're taking the drug test. If it's for a job and that job's insurance and working conditions allow for you to be on certain meds, then as long as you show them your prescription you'll be fine. In fact, most places OK a test as long as you have a prescription regardless of the job restrictions without ever informing the potential employer. If you are taking it for some federal reason or have committed a crime and have been banned from drugs in general, then you might be in trouble. Prescription or not, a person loses that privilege if they've abused in the past.

Not a violation of Hippa or ADA. You can refuse to take the test, and accept the consequences of your refusal.

The test will show the drugs in your system at the time of the testing. It will be up to you to explain why the drugs are in your system.

first off, mj makes you crave more for oxycodone and it gives you a very hard and bad withdrwl and it causes more pain, so quit the oxy and you will feel better, then use mj.
....oh, and you will test dirty, but you have rights
