From what I've read from historical accounts, it was the immigrant population--legal or illegal--that was responsible for lowering the cost of labor in American industries. It made the United States a powerhouse in the global economy. Of course, that was decades ago. I think the current negative sentiments concerning immigration are more a result of the financial crisis being experienced by the United States. If not for the crisis, the U.S. government will probably just face the other way and overlook the problem. Anyway, I'm sure if the U.S. can exploit illegal immigrants to make money for their industries they will continue doing so. Maybe, they are being outproduced because the Chinese are far more efficient in exploiting their own population to make better products.oneidmnster (935) ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS no matter what story they tell are CRIMINALS who live off the TAX PAYERS MONEY.
