Is A Biology Degree From Methodist Univ, Fayetteville Nc, Highly Regarded For Admission To Grad School Or In Medical Bus

truthfully -- the 1st 2 years are just getting your required courses out of the way and it does not actually matter exactly where you go --- i would look to a modest neighborhood college or even methodist university for tthe first 2 years and then transfer to a bigger university --- and i totally agree with you that large schools are not the best -- hard to learn in a class of 300 --- i never consider a degree from methodist university would be a detriment but it probably would not support either -- never be afraid to appear out of state either -- some private schools are reasonably priced and some will waive out of state tuition --- my oldest son looked at elon college and my second son looked at davidson ---- these each have really excellent standings but i am not sure if they match in your criteria --- how about appalacian state ? anmldr 21 months ago

If I wanted an in-state school with a respected reputation, I'd have her apply to UNC Chapel Hill. Any good grad school would consider an application from a UNC grad and they have an enormous hospital and med school right there. Max20characters 21 months ago

a degree from any university in your area of employment will be an asset but truthfully i don't think one from this particular university will be that highly regarded over any other school(and less than some schools) anmldr 21 months ago

both my sons are premed so i'm assuming they have good biology departments but i won't swear to it --- if its not to far look at emory university -- its in atlanta but it is excellent as far as medical / biology / sciences --- my second son is here and he loves it --- 3500 students so small but alot of lab jobs and internships ---- there is a hospital and the CDC is here so the opportunities are endless anmldr 21 months ago

No more than any other college. All degrees are the same. None are *highly regarded* - unless they are from an Ivy League school. TurboB 21 months ago

There are colleges that are "highly regarded" and yet not Ivy League schools. Rochester Institute of Technology is very "highly regarded" in its sphere but it's not an Ivy nor is Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute . I'm not sure Methodist Univ in Fayetteville, NC is amongst those considered highly regarded. I wish you luck though Max20characters 21 months ago
