truthfully -- the 1st 2 years are just getting your required courses out of the way and it does not actually matter exactly where you go --- i would look to a modest neighborhood college or even methodist university for tthe first 2 years and then transfer to a bigger university --- and i totally agree with you that large schools are not the best -- hard to learn in a class of 300 --- i never consider a degree from methodist university would be a detriment but it probably would not support either -- never be afraid to appear out of state either -- some private schools are reasonably priced and some will waive out of state tuition --- my oldest son looked at elon college and my second son looked at davidson ---- these each have really excellent standings but i am not sure if they match in your criteria --- how about appalacian state ? anmldr 21 months ago
