Is Aspirin A Registered Trademark Or Is It Considered A Generic?

Postby Domenico » Tue May 27, 2014 1:54 am

I can't imagine it's registered since all the companies making Acetylsalicylic acid use the name, unless maybe since it's been, what, 100 years since it was invented, maybe the patent on the name ran out?

Is Aspirin A Registered Trademark Or Is It Considered A Generic?

Really, it's a brand, authorized by Bayer many-many years back. However itis become so typical to contact all manufacturers of it discomfort, that Bayer quit attempting to combat for that brand. Same task will also apply to Kleenex and some different manufacturers. Same manner many people call pop cokes. Coke can also be a registered trademark that's become universal. Cocacola is only going to join it if somebody attempts to formally identify a soda coke. I believe actually that'll drop from the wayside eventually.

Is Aspirin A Registered Trademark Or Is It Considered A Generic?

Aspirin is not a registered trademark in the U.S. for the medication most popularly marketed by Beyer. The term is too generic to allow registration. It may be registered in some countries, however, so an individual country check should be made.
