My cousin has a little emeregency with his car, im purchasing a clutch kit for him online via my debit card. Guy at the advance auto parts tells me AFTER that i need to sign off on it? He lives all the way in pa and i live down in dc, so unfortunately i cant do that.

He just wants to ensure that the correct person is using the debit card. Have him call your bank to verify the account, or have him fax you a verification form to sign and fax back.

It's a store policy.
