Medical malpractice in court?

In my class we are doing a marc trial on medical malpractices, our trial is basically a patients has his gallbladder removed, and in the end he only had a stomach ulcer. The argument is basically if stomach ulcers ran in the family why wasn't he go threw more testing, and instead had his gallbladder removed. In this trial I am a whiteness, I need ideas on who i should be, what kinds of whiteness would be suitable for this case? How can me being whiteness help the case. Im stuck on my character basically and once i get ideas i can do some research on my character. Please any help would be appreciated
