Mosquitoes on outdoor terraces by the yarra?

Hi there..
I'm thinking of buying a property which has a large terrace which faces the Yarra river (Abbotsford, Vic) (view of the Yarra, but not right on the front of it!).
Does anyone know if during summer I would be bitten by A LOT of mosquitoes?

Would be good if person answering actually has a property with a terrace out there or has been on a terrace around the area.

I'm sorry but I don't have direct experience. I just wanted to say that mosquitoes are more prevalent where there is still water sitting around, not a flowing river. Sounds like a good spot. If you're feeling bold, you could ask some of the people currently living there.

Im in Melbourne as well,and Im in outer northern suburbs. I had a bad plague of mosquitos 2 years ago. I use citronella candles to ward them off or bug zappers you plug into the wall, and spray OFF on me if I venture outside.

Actually spiders can be pretty profilic in your area - they like living near rivers since the winds bring them lots of bugs so you can expect to see plenty of webs.
