My Company Directs Me Home Early When Their Very Little Work? He Usually Place Me 8 Hours Everyone. It Is Troublling Me

Postby Yanisin » Thu Jan 02, 2014 3:11 am

Is their any NC Job regulation that states that it is illegal for an employer to provide some worker early(functioning less than 40 hours) simply because there's significantly less operate. I've to make contact with my trip early each single day merely because he is providing me early. Please advise.

If you do get paid for 40 hours, regardless of whether you actually work them, as well as benefits, I wouldn't complain. If you were getting paid for less than 40, but doing less than 40, than that's fair.

Yeah, I'm confused by the question also. Were you hired as a part time or full time? Is this business owner self employed? I only work part time myself, but if there is no work I will go home.

I am going to guess that you are saying that you are sent home early every day(which could be annoying) but that you still get paid for your full day...In some states, it is against the law for an employer to send you home before your shift is over, unless you CHOOSE to leave. If an employer forces you to leave before your scheduled shift ends, he is supposed to pay you for the shift you were scheduled to work. But that law and enforcement varies from state to state. Why dont you ask your boss?
