My Steam account has been suspended? What do I do? help please?

Postby jabin20 » Mon Oct 31, 2011 12:17 am

Ok, so I attempted to log into steam and it displayed a

message saying "Steam Support has suspended this

account" "Accounts typically become suspended when an

account has been accessed by someone else, or a payment

dispute is in progress." So I then went and checked my

email that I registered my steam account under. Last

night before I went to bed I preordered Call of Duty

Modern Warfare 3 if that has anything to do with it.

Also, I saw in my inbox that steam sent me the

following email:

"Steam purchase - Credit card declined" As the topic

displayed in the email.

"Dear *****,

We are unable to complete your recent order under the

account *****, as your credit card purchase was

declined. For a list of reasons that a credit card

purchase placed on Steam is commonly declined, visit

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (ROW preorder)

Just so you all know, I put "****" stars to fill in the

personal information. So, does this mean my steam

account is f***ed? I already submitted a ticket to

steam support. So what happens now? I am very upset I

have over $400+ of Steam Games on my account. I am

about to cry right now because I am always using steam

and now I fear my account is lost forever. Did my

account get hacked or is it just a credit card issue.

If it is a credit card issue do I call the credit card

company up or is this just a steam issue?

It sounds like a credit card issue, but I wouldn't **** around with $400+ games. Contact Valve immediately, they'll be able to tell you for sure what's happening.

If they processed your order, then the charge got reversed or canceled then they will ban your account until you repay that amount.
