This doctor was not doing his job, and he knows it too, because we recently got a letter stating that he is no longer able to provide my wife with medical care, due to recent events which he feels "damaged" their relationship. My wife has no clue what events these were.So basically, since I am insured, I called my Insurance company. They have no department that handles disputes on claims. They documented these events, but are unable to do anything about the charges! I have a $2600 deductable, so I am paying this doctor $347 out of my pocket for services we did not authorize, and for a visit in which he did nothing but tell my wife he could not treat her(after we asked this specifically!!!)We took this up with the doctor and he is refusing to drop these charges. Although my wife does not have any injuries due to this doctor, I would still consider this malpractice. He cannot run expensive tests at our expense without our authorization, and not even give us the results. Especially when my wife told him specifically why she did not want the tests run, one of which she had run by another doctor not 3 months previous to that date. I was not aware of any of this until I saw the bill!So since my insurance company will not help us, what should I do?Do you think a malpractice firm would take on such a small case? How can I take action and how can justice be served? 68 months ago
