Pa workers compensation public records?

Postby jolie » Fri Apr 01, 2011 10:10 pm

Is there a way in PA to find out if someone applied for workers compensation? Ex husband got a new job, worked a few days and "hurt" his ankle. May try to qualify for workers comp. He is way behind on child support and has not reported this new job or injury to domestic relations.

A lot of that stuff is confidential and you have to be someone in power to obtain information on him.

Maybe you can get away with inquiring if you posse as an employer doing background check.
You need to have his social security number, date of birth and his current address.

If you have a credit card you can conduct a background online which covers all areas, employment, credit, home address and criminal check
Or you can contact your state child support unit

It's funny I don't know why I'm telling you this because it could be me.

Unlike Personal Injury claims, Workers comp claims are more about reimbursement than monetary value. If he just hurt his ankle, then likely he won't get anything more than if he was just working.

You need to find out his employer and report him to your local child support agency. They should be able to do the research you need.

Most states now participate in a public record program for workers comp. When a claim for benefits is filed it is recorded on a database. These records can be accessed in a background verification process by employers. (Yes folks it is available to an employer)

I would report his new job information to domestic relations and let them pursue the claim for support through channels.
