I know this is not an actualy legal question but was hoping to get some advice.
I rent a home with 4 other roommates.
I recently accepted a job on a cruise ship in which I will be 6 weeks at sea then 2 weeks at home.
I have no problem still paying for my portion for rent and for my cable box in my bedroom, but it is appropriate for me to ask to not pay for the utilities while I am not there.
I even have no problem paying for the whole month even when I am only there for 2 weeks. I do not want to cause problems with my roommates, but I do not feel I should have to pay for, water, electricity, or gas when I am not there.
Just looking to get some advice.

Thanks for that feedback. There's been period were some people have now been absent (on holiday) for around 2 weeks, myself involved, But this really is 6 weeks. We reside in California therefore there's not a problem using the winter. I really could comprehend easily would on holiday for some months as my option, but this really is my work...I haven't introduced it-up however I still possess a couple weeks before I keep. We seldom have people over aswell for a long time period (I've just had people stay over perhaps three or four times) and all of US have televisionis and computers and that I might disconnect all my material before I abandon and shut my port in room. I'm considering perhaps reducing an offer my cable package + $25-$50, when they provide me difficulty....

Fascinating. I had been a partner for a long time in various flats with various roommates and that I do not remember this issue actually arising. Even if somebody was not there for awhile. About the other hand, no body actually raised a partner spending more because of that roommates partner/partner or household/buddy remaining in the condo for a long period of time. <br />
