Perpetual Motion Machine

Postby Cuarto » Fri Jul 04, 2014 1:44 pm

Hello,

I prefer to depend on the 'laws of nature', and therefore do not believe a perpetual motion machine can exist. So I stick to my previous answer.

During the 35 years I spent as a patent examiner we received hundreds of applications for perpetual motion machines. They could not be patented anyway, but I have never since read about a working example!

But that is not important to you. The main point for you is that most patent laws simply exclude these machines from patentability. Whatever you prove. Please check the Indian patent office if this is also the case in India. You don't have to reveal your machine then. Simply ask if a patent can be granted for a perpetual motion machine. If so, apply for a patent.

Regards, and good luck, of course.

Perpetual Motion Machine

Hello,

A perpetual motion machine is considered to be against the laws of nature and is therefore not patentable(in most countries).

So it would be better -if you nevertheless want to apply for a patent- to call it a machine, consuming little energy or something similar and not stating that it does not consume any  energy. A patent is worth what the highest bidder offers. It is as simple as that.

Never try to sell a patent before it has been published! Otherwise the one you are negotiating with can still apply for a patent and get the same rights as you!
