The GOP voted down the Dream Act which would have done the same thing, only more of them. It's the only way he could get around this "do-nothing congress." The bully pulpit has to give you some perks.Yes, I think he bought himself some Hispanic votes.   MaryAnn 19 months ago

Sorry. I make it a policy to not encourage conspiracy theorists. I fear a shortage of tin foil hats, you see.   TurboB 19 months ago

Wow. You are unaware that illegal immigrants are exploited. I'm beginning to think those ridiculous metaphors of yours aren't metaphors at all, but the way you really see the world. Anyway, they are exploited. You will have no problem finding proof if you bother to look. I'm not gonna do it for you. The point I've been trying to get across that it is their illegal status that makes these people exploitable. For example, in your opinion, what would be the best course of action available to an illegal immigrant who has worked long hours in unsafe conditions and was then cheated out of his pay? How should he seek redress? What do you think might happen if he went to the cops or to the courts? The above questions are rhetorical, in case you're wondering. I'm not seeking a reply.   hipnek 18 months ago

Obamas plan will stop deportation of children brought here illegally, who are older than 18 or younger than 30, have no criminal record, and have graduated from high school, gotten a GED, or served in the U S military. What problem could you possibly have with that? These kids were brought here basically against their will. They did not decide to come here. This is the only country they have ever lived in, and consider it home and themselves Americans. A lot don't speak any language but English.Regans plan gave amnesty to everyone carte blanc. Criminals, adults who made a decision to break the law by coming here. Are you saying that is ok, but because Obama made a decision to not punish kids who themselves did nothing wrong and have been upstanding law abiding citizens, you baggers have lost your minds over this. What a hoot you are~You should be ashamed of yourself.   TurboB 19 months ago
