You are not alone. I think it can be part of the fun of Askville.  I think I have an immediate smartypants mental response for about 60% of the questions.  I never use an answer slot.  I do occasionally post something on the discussion page.  I do this more with people I know pretty well than those I don't because the people who know me won't be offended.  Most of them will laugh and post something of their own.  It frequently takes on a life of it's own.  Occasionally a few of us will participate in totally irrelevant sillines on somebody else's question discussion board.  This rarely has anything particular to do with the question, we just get goofy.  One night about ten of us got going with girl talk on a question for men only.  It was fun.  We would love to have you join in.  A great sense of humor is always appreciated by most in Askville.  :)   Mamasunotheremuch's Recommendations One by one, the penguins slowly steal my sanity... Questions with humor value only I know exactly how you feel. Many of these questions don't deserve anything more than a sarcastic answer just to point out how stupid the question is. Unfortunately, the askers wouldn't appreciate the sarcasm. Then when you ask a real question in Physics, like I did, you can't find anyone to answer it. It's not fashionable You wouldn't get nice grades for this. I've tried. I don't really understand why answer with often useless details better than short answer(even in situations where one line just enough). Also I don't understand situations where details part contain just one line. Looks like public likes details pntphoto 80 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment. Absolutely not.  That's why I put it in the discussion board.  But make sure you're not abusive or too mean or you'll be in violation of askville policy. For instance: Can anyone tell me a good book on procrastination? Bad: You idiot!  You'll never buy it anyway, and if you did, you wouldn't read it! Good: Sorry, I'll return to this question later Another: What is Questville? Bad: Moron!  We have no clue yet! Good: This is ASKville, but there are some ANSWERS here already in FAQs and the answer blog--check them out. Also a hint...if you're asking about Askville be sure to stick Askville in as a topic.
