Removing Satellite Dishes

Postby blaeey » Thu Jun 26, 2014 8:25 am

Hi, I had a question about the law and its requirements for me to remove the satellite dish from direct tv that my apt manager allowed us to install. She knew exactly how they'd do it - it had to be put on a tripod thing and adhered to the cement deck. Now she's asking us to remove it. The cable company will not, which I didn't realize or I would've asked the manager at the time how people do it when they leave. I've seen other notes saying I'm not legally responsible and in fact, I left the last one at the other place I used to live and never had an issue. The cable company even said they don't recommend me doing this since I'm not a professional. I could feasibly destroy it,  which would be fine, however, getting the tripod off is looking near to impossible. Please let me know if I'm going to lose my security deposit over this. Thanks!
