Small Contemplating Emancipation

Small Contemplating Emancipation

Postby Ami » Sat Feb 01, 2014 3:06 am

My issue requires juvenile legislation within the State-Of: Virginia
First, a few reasons for having me:
I am 16-decades-old. My birthday is June 18
I actually do not dislike my parents. I regard them and their rules.
I'm not psychologically ill, unpredictable, or suicidal.
I've a GED
Today, my story.
Obtaining the GED was my concept. The contract was that I would start advancing my knowledge quickly after getting my degree. Nevertheless, after obtaining my GED, my parents suddenly had a big change of center where they no longer feel comfortable letting me to advance with my entire life (including starting university) till I am AT-LEAST 19 (though by 18 they no longer have a state in the problem) consequently making me at home all day long merely bumming.
Therefore after turning their hands I were able to acquire the capability to obtain a pair part-time jobs, nevertheless Iam still excessively disappointed with my not too distant future they're pushing me towards, whilst the next year-and-a-half are basically likely to be considered a enormous waste of my useful time.
I've completed the measurements, and I've the capability to stay alone and still manage a higher education.
Quickly, I will even be reaching Eagle position in BSA
That's where emancipation comes in.
I am simply attempting to improvement with my entire life. Our moment is valuable and right-now they truly are losing annually-and-a-half of it.
I realize a bazillion different kids have sought emancipation just like I've. I simply need to understand if I'd be wasting my time, or if I could make the best case for myself.
I am truly thankful for the making the effort to see this and share your insight.

Minor Considering Emancipation

A gross income of $20,000?

Then the answer is, you're wasting your time. That is not enough to pay all your own expenses.

Judges search for reasons to refuse emancipation applications. It seems as though your parents aren't in support of the concept, or can there be actually any justification for you yourself to be emancipated. You do not NEED it; you just DESIRE it. Consequently, a judge will probably tip against you even when you'd earnings which was significantly more than adequate. Provided that it's not, I would not keep my breath anticipating a good decision for this question.

I still live with my parents, so I essentially retain my gross income as I have no real expenses.

Minor Considering Emancipation

Is that what the judge would rule? Because, to my understanding, it's very possible - albeit difficult - to live on $20k/yr

I've seen it done before
