Sur Name Change In Passport

Hi Poorvi,  I got my passport long back.In PhotoBiography page(ie First page) My Sur name written as DHANESHKODI and in the last page Father name is written as DHANUSHKODI.In my complany they are processing me B1 Visa.IS this make any problem for me.If so i want to change my Sur name which is DHANUSHKODI.Please advice me the procedure and how much time it will take to change my SUR NAME.

ANSWER: Dear Amudhakannan,

I applied for Re-issue of the Passport for SURNAME change through AAA on 06-Jan-2009.when i checked the status in net on 12-Jan it was showing "Dealing Section marked Movement on your file"!What this means and how long it will take to dispatch my Passport.I got the request for B Visa from my company.Any procedure is there to speed up the process so that i can get as early as possible.Please help me out.  THANKS IN ADVANCE
