The Cutsie Act On Tv Shows. Is Anyone Else Getting 'turned Off' With It?

Like on Regis and Kelly...or the Rachael Ray cooking show...I just seems like the women are trying so hard to be 'adorable' that it takes away from the whole show. I used to really enjoy watching both shows...now I just have to turn them off.Is anyone else getting 'turned off' by the hyper, CUTSIE act? Or am I just getting old and cranky? I do still love watching Everybody Loves Raymond every night...even though they're reruns, they're still a riot

I don't waech Rachel Ray unless trapped on a stationary bike at the gym. I never watch Regis Philbin amd whoever his partner of the moment is. But then I don't watch Raymond, either. I do watch a lot of Animal Planet, NatGeo, Discovery Health and TLC.

Oh yeah, I do agree! I used to love Rachel Ray on her old cooking show on the Food Network, where it was just HER, cooking - or the show where she would go to different cities, and recommend great resturants that were affordable - I forget the name of the show, but I think she had $40.00 a day to spend.   Her personality seemed so real, and down to earth, and not at all put on.   On her new show she comes across completely differently. It all seems like a big phony happy act, like, "look at me, see how cute and perky I am!! I am never down, I am happy, happy, happy!!"   I know she has to do this for the show, but sometimes it almost seems "desperate". I wonder if her face hurts after the show from smiling and giggling so much!   I still like her, and love her simple recipes, but the "cutsie" acts wears thin at times!   Forget Regis and Kelly - long gone!   Guess I'm old and cranky too!   Kar*'s Recommendations Rachael Ray 365: No Repeats--A Year of Deliciously Different Dinners(A 30-Minute Meal Cookbook) Amazon List Price: $19.95 Used from: $3.56 Average Customer Rating: 4.0 out of 5(based on 325 reviews) Classic 30-Minute Meals: The All-Occasion Cookbook Amazon List Price: $19.95 Used from: $4.10 Average Customer Rating: 4.0 out of 5(based on 33 reviews) Rachael Ray 2, 4, 6, 8: Great Meals for Couples or Crowds Amazon List Price: $19.95 Used from: $2.07 Average Customer Rating: 4.0 out of 5(based on 24 reviews) Kar* 94 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment.
