Trademarking my clothing line?

Do you want the public to confuse you with the other company because a simple "S"? you could potentially lose bussiness because people think that you are other trade mark.
I would definitely consider changing my name for trademarking.

Trademarking my clothing line?

The other company may also sue you to prevent you from doing business in that name. Further, they may claim that your clothing business in some way has interfered with the other companies business gains -- in other words, they may seek damages from you for reducing the profits they may have been entitled to because of your company name. You may not be permitted to trademark your name by the PTO if the companies' names are that similar. I would just change your name to avoid any confusion.
