"Toth?s bill is wildly unconstitutional. The Constitution provides that duly enacted federal laws ?shall be the supreme law of the land?.It's sad. I suggest that all the lovers of the Constitution obey the law.   MaryAnn 11 months ago

it's illegal on the face of it. Federal laws ALWAYS have power over local laws. It's in the constitution - Supremacy Clause. If the Texans want to jerk themselves off with a stupid and enforceable law(and then go to court to try and defend it), that is their prerogative. But they won't win.   ElBanditoRoso 11 months ago

Aim for the torso. Pray that you don't have to but vigilance may save lives in today's world. There are people who'll kill you and sell your possessions for enough to get high or go to a strip club to impress some dancer there.   dougiedognabit 11 months ago

I think it won't pass. More stupidity from the same small group of idiots who are pushing Texas to secede from the US.Kat   ***caseycat*** 11 months ago

Someone else also had this up in a question. Same response, really: I'd rather support our Constitution than support someone trying to disassemble our Constitution.   danielpauldavis 11 months ago

Wasn't Texas going to secede? Guess they're staying around long enough to stand in the way of progress a few minutes longer. Guess someone will have to create an Un-Unconstitutional bill to counteract their counteractment. Then it'll be Unbirthday drinks all around as they drop in on one another to see what condition their condition is in.I rest my case.   Skylight 11 months ago

That is the trouble with selectively ignoring parts of the constitution that you don't like- the opposition does it too. It is not so hard to imagine the 'supremacy clause' being ignored. Have you heard about the pot legalization in Colorado and Oregon? It happens. The constitution is pretty much dead. Very few still respect it and virtually no one abides by it.Laws are only as good as your ability to enforce them or to the limits that people respect them. If you push too far, no one will respect them. You can't impose something like they passed in NY on the people of Texas, or Alabama for that matter. We would not take those restrictions seriously. Our state and local authorities will not enforce them and the Feds don't have the resources to do so. You have to be very careful in this country when you try to rule over people. Regulations can work, but when the regulators try to push regulation into control the may face a little push back. Texas is just getting everyone ready for the push back when the supreme rulers in DC try to impose their will on the people of Texas. This sort of thing happens from time to time in human history. One group of people will try to impose their will on another group of people and they will either take it or the will not.   @Lono 11 months ago
