Voluntary Surrender Of Vehicle

Postby Aidrian » Sun Jun 08, 2014 11:28 am

I live in the state of Florida and I recently had to voluntarily surrender my vehicle - due to my husbands medical condition, which doesn't enable him to work - the finance company sold the vehicle and I owe the remainder of $14k +_ - however they offered to settle for 1/2 that amount - I called them and told them that I could only come up with $5 - which they wouldn't accept - if I don't pay this - what can they do to me - ie., sue, lien on home, etc.......

All of the above.   Possible garnishment of wages, freezing of personal bank accounts, execution on personal property, negative effects on your credit report, etc.

Don[t pay them anything.  There are other ways you can avoid this problem.

You are welcome to call me if you would like.  I will not charge you just to talk on the phone.  432  853-5711  If you call, I can then explain your various options in more detail.  I look forward to hearing from you if you should decide to call.--
