What can I expect at an Ex Parte hearing?

Postby michelangelo » Wed Dec 08, 1993 12:10 pm

The father of my son's attorney just called and said we have an ex parte hearing tomorrow morning.
I know this is about a dispute about visitation times on the court order.I have already had two family law facilitators read this and tell me that the father is supposed to have shorter times, and to call his attorney and tell him he was in content. I did and she yelled at me that he wasn't in content and she didn't care what they said because she was there and said judge said he was giving my ex a second chance(that is not what he said) , and now we have an ex parte hearing. Can someone tell me what to expect?

Also: this is what the court order says: ADOPTED MEDIATION REPORT (which says)..."recommended father have unsupervised parenting time with child from .....to..... If verification of his participation in counseling is not provided, the father's parenting time with the child is to be ...to....." (shorter time)

Then at bottom it says: "father to complete counseling ( counselor- no credit)
with written proof. He may receive credit for counseling regularly conducted by chaplain or mental health provider in theater"
Note: theare means when in combat area

Your question makes no sense. An ex parte hearing means only one party is appearing before the judge. The other party is not even notified until the hearng is over.
