What Do You Recomend To Read To Your Second Grade Class?why?

My second grader has just gotten into Harry Potter... ...she's reading it on her personal now, but we began out with me reading it to her. She also likes girly issues - she's loved the Pixie Hollow fairy stories, the Amazing Days of Abby Hays series, and there is a series about weather fairies - numerous of these series are by Disney.  In spite of my greatest efforts she hasn't gotten into the Tiny House books, but she does like the A to Z mysteries.   JAHPhotoGirl's Recommendations Tales From Pixie Hollow four copy Box Set(Disney Fairies)(Problems for Tink, Lily's Pesky Plant, Vidia and the Fairy Crown, Beck and the Wonderful Berry Battle) Amazon List Price: $23.96 Employed from: $15.00 Typical Customer Rating: four.five out of five(based on three reviews) The Haunted Hotel(A to Z Mysteries)(A Stepping Stone Book(TM)) Amazon List Value: $three.99 Used from: $.45 Average Buyer Rating: 5. out of 5(based on 6 evaluations)   JAHPhotoGirl's Recommendations Abigail The Breeze Fairy(Climate Fairies) Amazon List Value: $four.99 Utilised from: $2.10 JAHPhotoGirl 82 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment. Junie B. Jones You didn't really say if you were lookin for a LONG book or a SHORT book or the specific reason you were reading to them, but our family has always loved the Junie B. Jones books. There are nearly 25 of them now and we have a family tradition of reading the, even around the campfire, now that our youngest is 16!  Kids of all ages love them and, since Junie B is only *recently* a first-grader, second-graders can relate! Q   Q's Recommendations Junie B. Jones's First Boxed Set Ever!(Books 1-4) Amazon List Price: $15.96 Used from: $8.35 Average Customer Rating: 3.5 out of 5(based on 116 reviews) Junie B. What Do You Recomend To Read To Your Second Grade Class?why?

It's a delightful story that all children I have encountered love--and I've read it to seven year olds, who are too young to read it themselves. As a matter of fact, I remember that my third grade teacher read it to our class decades ago, and many of us wept. 'Charlotte's Web' teaches the importance of friendship, respect for animals, and strength of character. It's thoroughly delightful! Oh, yes, don't forget to show the kids the great illustrations by Garth Williams.

The Neverending Story I think it is one of the most fun stories out there with beautiful writing that describes the story in incredible ways. My daughter read it when she was in grade 2 and was enthralled throughout.
