What is the best undergraduate degree to have before heading on to get a law degree?

Postby egann » Sun Apr 29, 2012 9:18 am

I am a Junior in high school and i am starting to look at colleges. i will be the second in my family to go to college on time and work for a degree in other than business. I want to be a lawyer and of course you need a law degree which is a graduate degree, but before you get a graduate degree you need to get a undergrad so i am wondering what undergrad degree would be best to earn if i want to proceed to a law degree.

If you're absolutely/positively sure of getting to a good Law School, a degree called "Great Book" would be excellent (formally: "Great Books of the Western Intellectual Tradition"). About twenty colleges in the USA teach this curriculum. The best might be St. John's College, in Maryland and New Mexico.

If you DON'T go to some kind of graduate school, Great Books is NOT a good Major.
