Why do atheists in America think that the Holy Bible isn't true?

the bible lies flat out.

the earth is not the center of the universe and it is round (genesis goes out the window)

not basically there is no proof he existed and the whole Jesus thing wouldn't stand in a court.
The bible is a book, people follow it irrationally but then again they do the same with twilight.

Because if you really read it, it contradicts. Atheists mostly believe in fact (Science & Math) and it IS impossible to die for 3 or 4 days and rise again. It's impossible to walk on water. Its impossible to split a sea in 2. Impossible. Therefore not true.

In order for litigation to be instigated it would have to have a complainant, and as that mythical 'public figure' Jesus does not exist he cannot sue anymore that Harry Potter could.

I don't think Lord of the Rings is a real retelling of history either. Why should it be that circular logic should decide what's authentic sources of history and law?

The Bible is a book that advocates stoning people to death - it's offensive and should only be available to adults to study for historical purposes

The bible is not against the law, which is why people believe that god killing children is acceptable
