Why do believers, refute, deny, oppose, and reject God's presence?

Have you noticed that when you speak about anything spiritual, a christian will always slander you and start attacking you, saying that you don't represent God and what you say about him is false. It's pathology. Why do you think so many of them oppose GOd.

I don't slander people. I don't oppose God; I might grieve Him at times, irritate and vex Him, but oppose? Really? If you mean kick up a fuss against what he wants me to do at times, then guilty. But not oppose. The Devil opposes. I don't reject Him, I will argue with Him. So no to any of the above.

Christians that do this are often insecure in their own beliefs, so they feel the need to attack anything that might possibly shake up their beliefs, because they don't want to start questioning anything. Also, a lot of them have been brainwashed by their church and are constantly told that others don't "represent God". A secure Christian who thinks for him or herself should not be attacking people like this.

I don't!

I actually enjoy studying the eastern spiritual...stuff.
And I believe that the spirits of people sometimes look after us when God lets them.

Edit: Strawberryspice is right and I'm one of those secure christians :)
