Why do people drink bottled water?

Our gov't uses our tax dollars to purify and sterilize our water supply. It costs pennies per gallon and comes right of the faucet. Yet, people choose to drink out of toxic, plastic bottles that leach endocrine disruptors into the water. Light and acid etch and degrade plastic.
Foreign companies like Nestle bottle our spring water and sell it back to the American consumer for more than the cost of gas. What a bunch of suckers. Can anyone justify drinking bottled water? I'm sure they can't.

You should have said in the US or UK or any 1st world country. There are some valid arguments for drinking bottled water in 3rd world countries. But I agree, nice post/ question.

Because in the morning when i get ready i get a bottle of water to take because i dont have any time. I cant go to the faucet and put it in my backpack, they are convenient
