Will State Ags Be Successful In Their Lawsuits Against The Feds?

Postby Rufford » Fri Jan 03, 2014 12:41 pm

They contend it is unconstitutional to force US citizens to acquire a solution from a private firm. Do you think that is constitutional? If they are unsuccessful do you think we will be forced to obtain other goods from private companies? If so, which ones?

I don't know whether they will be successful, but I certainly hope so! There is no specific place in the Constitution that allows the federal government to compel citizens to purchase anything--and the 10th Amendment states "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." To me, that should be the end of the issue. Point, set, match to states' rights.

Please disregard post #1. I don't know why it is there. The original question is the correct one.

No, not unconstitutional. You mean "forced" like having to have auto insurance? Oh, no! the end of the Republic! MadDogDem 45 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment.
