Postby bentleigh » Thu Dec 19, 2013 2:08 am

A nurse practioner has a normal of care higher than a non-practioner nurse due to the sophisticated education. With a history of *** cancer, the request for a mammogram was acceptable. The nurse practioner could have the duty to request diagnositics with no regard to the potential of a patient to spend.Verify with the state nurse licensing board to learn out if the nurse practioner met the typical of care in your state. The nurse practioner could also have had the duty to assist uncover the sources to get the mammogram. The common of care for a nurse is different from a doctor. Nurse practioners at times neglect they are nurses initial and ought to meet the normal of care of a nurse.

Wrongfully Identified

Postby nickson » Fri Dec 20, 2013 12:35 pm

"she moved into a new region and the nurse practitioner below didn't inform her about preparing to a medical facility to get a free mammogram."It is not the NPs requirement to tell her about cost-free mammograms. Your buddy was free of charge to cover for one particular, even though she could not get one particular for totally free. They never cost a ton."my buddy told her that anything was wrong with her *** and she needed to get your self a mammogram instantaneously..."If she felt this way, then why didn't she get one particular what ever the NP mentioned?? "... and also asked that she advise her back to her chemo dr and the physician told her she could not do that."Why could she not handle to speak to her "chemo doctor" on her personal?"so if she did my pal would not of missing your ***."You never ever recognize that. Once more, your post shows a wait of 3 months. Yet again, your buddy is cost-free to get yourself a health-related opinion from her doctor regarding regardless of whether that 3-month wait produced a distinction when it comes to the outcome.

If your friend wasn't satisfied with the nurse she was free to ask to see a doctor. Did she even ASK about resources for free memograms? Find out what it would cost if she had to pay? It's not the nurse's fault that your friend was uninsured.

Ok...but-its nothing like that back ten years before her Dr. identified her with the CANCER and she was treated for it with radiation and chemo and she was CANCER free for ten years with obtaining her year mammogram...she shifted into a new town and the nurse practitioner below did not tell her about likely to a healthcare facility for a free mammogram.my buddy told her that anything was wrong with her *** and she needed seriously to obtain a mammogram immediately and also requested that she send her back to her chemo doctor and the practitioner told her she could not do that.so if she did my buddy would not of missing your ***.

I accept what Fxston has posted."The nurse practitioner would not contact her and actually examination her the way in which she must of. Our friend informed her she needed a mammogram..."When was the final moment your 'friend' had a mammogram? Were they completed annually? If she'd issues that something was wrong with her *** (clearly she experienced something) and thought the NP didn't perform a proper evaluation, she must have used another physician quickly. It was merely a 3-month wait. It's very probable that even if it was identified faster, the end result (mastectomy) might have been the same. But merely a medical malpractice lawyer may decide if malpractice, happened after thorough overview of your 'buddy's' documents by a medical expert. I notice from your own account that you're battling cancer and desire you well.
