I've A Question?

Postby Eanruig » Mon Feb 24, 2014 3:56 pm

I'm an associate supervisor in a nearby furniture business. Lately my boss has discovered another job that gives him more income. The organization that I work with has all-white guys and supervisory jobs; I'm the only real African America man like a boss. By Friday, my boss didn't inform any but me and someone else of his new place in a distinct organization. On Tuesday October 3, 2006 the functions supervisor on first change yanked me into his office and requested me of my administrators departing the organization. I merely told them that I wasn't conscious of that, I told him this since it wasn't my spot to inform another person?s company. At that time, he informed me I had been a liar; he requested me to abandon his workplace and consider it and return in 10 mins. While I returned to his workplace he attempted to make use of psychology on me by informing me that he'd talked to my supervisor and he'd told him that he'd told me that he was leaving the company, I understand that wasn't accurate since I'd talked to my supervisor earlier in your day and he recommended me not to inform his enterprise about leaving the company, and used to do what he requested. Nowadays when I returned to work I went to the procedures supervisors office and requested for the 2nd shift supervisor position (because has told everybody leaving the organization)I was told that there were two other individuals asking for the position, and if I wanted it I'd to interview for the position. Our issue is that I know that job and I do the job execute the duties that must be achieved when my boss is absent. (On holiday, or out ill). Our issue is if my company chooses to employ a bright person for this work am I going to have a claim from the company for elegance? I've worked for the corporation since 2003. And I?m the only real dark associate supervisor out-of 3 changes. Inside the organization palm guide thier isn't any where declaring that present employes may have to interview for a situation inside the company.

But you DID lie, right? That is sufficient grounds to decide not to promote you. They don;t feel they can trust you.

"Nowadays when I returned to work I visited the procedures supervisors office and inquired for the next shift manager position...I was informed that there were two other people asking for the position, and easily needed it I'd to interview for the position."Might it have been non-discriminatory for them-not to interview the other two, and to have merely positioned you in the position?"Inside The organization palm guide thier isn't any where declaring that present employes may have to interview for a position inside the company."The guide does not have to create a agreement regarding every motion. The company may promote, demote, create a lateral job change, redefine responsibility, etc., because it wishes until the worker is caught. And, it can achieve this without interview; or, interview can be required.Nothing within your article indicates an illegality.

I Have A Question?

If Your person of the different race is employed, that does not naturally imply that discrimination has had place. You're currently an associate supervisor, and they might choose that the requirements of the company are best served by keeping you in your present shift. If you sense that the company discriminates, I Would recommend calling an area work attorney. The company is well within its rights to keep consitently the hiring process available and aggressive by selecting the applicants. Provided that there are no laws requiring staff handbooks, it follows that there are no laws that state what must maintain them. And, many have disclaimer language that permit the company to alter or modify them at will.

I Have A Question?

When your employer asks you a direct question it is your business to answer it. Or even refuse to answer it. But to intentionally lie - that's not a good choice. They've done nothing wrong.

I Have A Question?

I felt that it was not my place to tell someone eleses business. If My supervisior wanted to tell them of his new position then it was his place not mine. We are all adults at that company, and they should act as such.
