I owed my exfiance about $13000 through a bad business I encountered when I went to Sierra Leone. I sent her an e-mail promising to pay her back on my return back to the US. She instead bribe through the corrupt and inept Police Force whereby I was detained and they demanded $4000 from me and I had to give them otherwise I would have being locked up and charged. I told them this is a civil matter and that I did not steal any money but they insist on criminilizing the matter. I had to go to the Police station more than six times and everytime I went there, they either threaten to lock me up or charge me to court and inroder to avoid such humiliation, I had to spend some money to get my self out of jail. They eventually set up a payment plan in three monthly installments as per her terms to pay the balance
When I return back to the US, my exfiance refused to sue me for her money and she said she is relying on the agreement in Sierra Leone meaning she doesn't trust the American legal system. She knew in America that this is a civil matter so she decided to bribe through the corrupt system in Sierra Leone for me to be embarresed and humuliated.
As a result of her extreme and outrageous and reckless conduct, she caused me to suffer severe and emotional distress in Sierra Leone and in addition boasting in our community that she is going to lock me up in Sierra Leone. What I went through was unimaginable, terrible and humiliating.
In addition, I had to go to court to set aside her terms in Sierra Leone and the court to set up a new payment plan because my younger is being harrassed everyday because he has a put up his house as a collateral to bail me out
Can I sue her emotional distress
