16 year old in need of help plz answer asap?

My Name is Shakila and i am a 16 year old high school student in the 11th grade. I have a 6 month year old daughter. The problem is my mom passed away n April of last year, and i have been sent from place to place. I'm not in social services custdody, but tomorrow is a possibility that i will be. The thing is my dad has leagal custody of me, and wants me to go move with him, i don't want to because my whole life i grew up without him and that relationship with him is not going to get any better. I also get a Social security check (ssi) every month , and i think thats the real reason why he wants me. Now the whole story is before my dad wanted to take me my grandma on my mom side had guardianship over me, but i was tooken from their because she was using our checks on her and not me. So then i was placed with my godmother, and dss took me from there because they said it wasnt a suitable place. now i'm currently staying with a school social who was willing to take me in but her fiance doesnt want me staying with them. So last week we had a meeting , and this lady said she would take me in but yesturday she said she couldnt because she wanted to be a license foster mom, but i do not want to go into foster care. So i can not stay there. I tried emancipation , didnt work and my sister is in the same predictiment but shes was sent to a group home and i never get to see my little brother and sister i mean im a straight a student in school im a good mom and i dont see what i did to deserve this i want to be on my own i want to be independent, and i know im just 16 and the world out there is tough but i cant stay with my dad i would change into a diffrent person get hooked on drugs drp out of school and such. Are there any laws allowing me to be on my own please just help me i dont have anyone else to ask so right now alll i can depend on is yahoo answers and thats just a shame i also live in north carolina so please write back.

Well in all in all I can tell you right now you cant live out on your own. Like be leave me i am 18 and i seen it all. Yes people getting killed drug use and that stuff. Thats not a good road to go down also with a little baby with you. I just moved out of my moms house and its hard very hard. Thats with just me, i could not even pic with a baby. Go live with your dad and just keep doing what your doing by keeping good grades and being a good mom, you dont want to see what i have seen. Who cares about the s.s if it goes to your dad see what it goes to. Food? A roof over your head? Beleave me i had all of that be for i messed up. I am all better now but its not fun. AND FOR EVEY ONE I CAME FROM A GOOD FAMILY WITH MONEY AND THE BEST MOM. I just lived a double life. that was my fault not theres. But good luck to you. Just always remeber do what is right for the baby if anything.

If you can't find somewhere suitable to stay, I think under law you must go live with your dad. However, I do know that there are ways to get yourself certified as an adult before the age of 18.

sounds like you've been in a tough situation. did you tell about your dad when you tried emancipation? i have a friend that lives with her bf because she didn't want to live with her dad either. she is 16 has a job and takes care of not only her baby but her immature spoiled bf. she still does good in school and told her dad straight up no. maybe you could find a friend or somebody to live with. good luck.
