That is creepy. Thanks for giving me nightmares. Good luck with a gypsie cat!I work in an assisted living facility, we have several cats that rome the hallways and are left over cats of residents that have passed away. under the law each cat must have a current health chart, just like the residents...showing the up to date vaccinations, the batch code and the annual check up of the vet. We have one 7 year old incredibly fat declawed and fixed boy named Casper. He has for the past year fixed his affection for people who are actively dieing . Many of these people gave no clue they would pass in there sleep, we have people on hospice that we know will be gone in a few days and it's no surprise when they go. Casper has this thing about moving into the room of people and against our wishes, sometimes getting bed with them. He sleeps at the foot of the bed, and comes and goes to the break room to get his food and use the box, but he goes straight back to that persons room, much to the delight of the people he usually ignores, and has this way of comforting them until the end, usually within two weeks. If we see him walking down the hall in the middle of the night we just know the person has gone, and believe me, we cry! No one here knows who he used to belong to, and we even have some people that know of his gift demand he never be allowed in their room, day or night. Even people with end stage dementia who can not respond to family, will stroke him when he sits on there lap and takes a nap. The other cats here only deal with people that sneak treats to them, or scratch them just right. I wonder if there are any other cats on record that have this ability?
